This is truly very nice example of a silver-class so-called: 'Polizei Dienstauszeichnung 2. Stufe' (or police loyal service medal 2nd class) that comes together with its original, cornflower-blue coloured ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') having an interwoven police-eagle device as issued, in overall albeit moderately used- ie. worn condition. The medal retains nice and/or pronounced details and still shows some of its ' off-factory' polished sides (ie. 'Hochpolierte Kanten'). The medal is a tiny bit tarnished but retains a great age patina (it has most certainly never been cleaned nor polished). The award came with its original, confectioned and full-length (ie. 15 cms. long and 4.8 cms. wide!) cornflower-blue coloured ribbon, having the interwoven white-coloured police-eagle (which is scarce in itself). The ribbon shows some obvious dirt ie. staining, simply caused by moderate usage and/or wear. Simply a nice 18-yrs. police-set that is IMO accordingly priced!
